Iran actor/director to make bullet-free war movie

Prolific Iranian director, comedian and actor Mehran Modiri plans to make a war movie with no bullet shot.

Modiri said in local TV talk show 'Khandevaneh', "I intend to make a war movie not in the sense we have seen so far."

He added, "In my movie not a single bullet will be shot but the storyline is narrated in the context of war."

Modiri noted, “War is a strange traumatic experience” which he felt was an eye-opening experience helping one to grow up.

Mehran Modiri left his studies unfinished to go to war during the eight-year Iraqi imposed war. He later made a comeback in theater.
